I finished my mom’s Christmas socks today. (Last seen here.) They are gorgeous and I can see I’m going to have a hard time parting with them, so I’ve gone ahead and put them in a corner of the house I don’t get to much, so I won’t be tempted… They are so comfortable and the most beautiful shade of blue. The twisted rib pattern was simple, but looks impressive. I’m sure she will love them! (And if she doesn’t, I’m totally taking them back!)

Next up on the gift knitting queue is this sweater for my niece. I cast on for it late-ish Friday night, and I’m already about halfway done with the back panel. It’s a terribly simple pattern, but not boring. It’s perfect for knitting and watching TV-on-DVD, which I’m about to do! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  1. Those socks are great! All those handmade gifts–what lucky friends and family you have!

  2. Darn, I wish I could knit socks!
