Last year, we made ornaments. I don’t even know how I managed to find the time to do it, with a new(ish) baby and a crazy toddler, but we did! I meant to post about them at the time and I never did. (See previously mentioned baby and toddler…) I was reminded of this when I hung them on our tree just last week. They’ve held up remarkably well – even sturdy enough to handle being torn off the tree and thrown to the ground by an energetic 17 month old. I used this recipe, which calls for cornstarch and baking soda. It was super easy to make!
We rolled them out, cut shapes and then used both inked and not-inked stamps to press designs into the dough. E and I both had a great time – it’s definitely a kid friendly craft, as long as your littles are beyond the putting-everything-in-their-mouths phase.
A little something to keep tucked away for next year! Happy holidays everyone!
