I am…not the most thoughtful of people. I try, but most of the time I fail. It’s a thing I’m very aware of and it stems from some lovely feelings of (inadequate) self worth. Anyway, I went to the farmer’s market this morning (in the pouring rain! whee!) and bought my mom and step-mom some potted flowers. I even bought a new pot! And cards! Seriously, I’m doing awesome this mother’s day. (For me.) I’m throwing in a gift card for groceries for my mom, since she’s out of work, in pain, and pretty miserable and broke. Hopefully these will brighten her day a bit…

  1. Gorgeous photo! Sorry to hear your mom is having such a hard time.

  2. These are GLORIOUS. I hope your mom is doing better soon.

  3. the flowers are gorgeous, I’m sure they’ll love them

  4. It makes me immensely happy to hear someone else say that they’re not very thoughtful. I’m pretty much the same way and probably for the same reason you mentioned. And even though I’m also aware of it, I’m terrible at attempting to be more thoughtful. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with this problem.

And kudos to you for the Mother’s Day goodness!
